SiBERAR and the BMR Benchmark Regulation

The reform of monetary benchmark rates will soon move into his operational phase.
Regulation (EU) 2016/1011 (Benchmark Regulation, BMR) introduces a new regulatory framework on benchmark rates in order to strengthen their integrity and representativeness which were put at risk in the last years.
It is a complex transition; banks and financial intermediaries have to plan and manage with appropriate tools in order to comply with the international principles concerning market indexes and their calculation methodology. All this inevitably leads to significant impacts both on customer relations and on organizational setup and working methods.
